The “Colourful streets” project is trying to propose small interventions to maintain a sustainable relationship between informal settlements and natural environment.

The project has developed four strategies to improve current situations. These strategies are strongly connected with each other:

• ·Green street: Activating the neglected land and connecting them by transforming some of the existing streets will create a continuous network of public space. Social facilities will be also combined with open space.

• · Blue Street: The water system can be seen as a “blue street”. The river, the visible part, will be recovered from the garbage dumping while the water management, the underground part will help reduce the risk of flood.

• Orange street: By activating the existing commercial street and connecting with the natural environment,

• ·Colorful Allies: A wide range of options will be provided for the community to improve the living conditions.
